Portland Interurban #1067
Car # 1067 was built in the Portland Railway Light and Power Company’s shops in Milwaukie, Oregon. This car class is considered an Interurban. An interurban is usually larger than a streetcar, typically to mainline railroad standards. It was used to travel between cities and towns.
This car last saw operation in 1945. It was later used as a cabin in Cannon Beach along the Oregon Coast. It was rescued by a museum member in May of 1981.
Car 1067 is the last remaining electric rail passenger car that was built in Oregon until United Streetcar built cars for Portland Streetcar. However, they are no longer in business either
